This hike is going to make you sweat and enjoy it, I’m sure! You’ll be touching a few memorable high points that look over the whole Montafonvalley, Klostertal and Tirol.

We’ll ease into it, starting our hike on the road. Soon we’ll be climbing meadows and by treeroots split trails up to a beautiful lake that was nominated as most beautiful place of Vorarlberg in 2019. Now that the first 350 altimeters are behind us, we’re warmed up for the real challenge.

The trail climbs up further through the woods where we find a cross at nearly 1900 meters.  Then further along we go to the top of Wannaköpfle. The trail is not hard to walk, it just climbs up gradually, but surely. Wannaköpfle is not one (1) very exposed mountaintop, so there is plenty of room to relax and enjoy an extended break here.

On our descent through woods and passing of Maisäße (old summer farms), there’s a chance that we will see a herd of deers crossing our path.  Back at our starting point I am sure that you will be tired and satisfied about your accomplishments today. You will have great pictures to prove it!
