In this 4 day hut-to-hut tour we will be hiking throughout the Silvrettagruppe. Daily we’ll hike for about 5 hours on trail that can be steep here and there. You will have be sure on your feet an not afraid of heights.

Your effort is rewarded by great views, the peace and quit in the mountains and a beer on the deck of the mountainhut

Day 1 Schruns – Tübingerhütte    600amtrs up     350amtrs down

Our startingpoint is Gaschurn, where we make it easy on ourselves and take the lift up. From the topstation we hike for about 5 hours on a so-called Höhenweg to the Tübingerhütte.

Great views over the whole Montafonvalley are guaranteed throughout this Höhenweg. The last part to the hut gives you a bit of a sweat, but that’s part of the deal.

Day 2 Tübingerhütte – Seetal – Saarbrückerhütte    830 amtrs up 480 amtrs down

From the hut there is no time to warm up for the trail leads directly towards the Swiss border. There we descend into the Seetal where there is plenty of time to relax at the lake and let butterflies land on to you. Our way to the Saarbrückerhütte demands a physical effort, that is rewarded with views on the Großer Seehorn; a mountaintop that is regularly climbed. If you are an experienced ‘klettersteiger’ you can do the Little Seehorn Klettersteig from the hut.

Day 3 Saarbrückerhütte – Wiesbadenerhütte.   600 amtrs up  – 700 amtrs down

From the hut ascend to the Litnersattel where the descend start towards the Klostertal. The trail is narrow from time to time and partially secured with steal leaders, so focus and being steady on your feet is necessary. The Silvrettastausee is a big reservoir on the border between Vorarlberg and Tirol and supplies the Montafonvalley with electricity. From the Stausee we hike up to the Wiesbadenerhütte which is situated at the foot of the Piz Buin; Vorarlbergs highest mountaintop with 3.312 meters. The Wiesbadenerhütte is the base for climbers who climb this famous mountaintop.

Day 4 Wiesbadenerhütte – Bielerhöhe – Berggasthof Piz Buin    400 amtrs down

Today is a relaxed day back to the Bielerhöhe-reservoir. We’ll walk around it and at Hotel Piz Buin we’ll take the bus down the Hochalpstrasse to Gaschurn. There we can have a drink before everyone goes his way.
